From an early age in upstate NY, I was raised around great music. My mother went so far as to put a transistor radio in my crib as a baby. As I got older, my older sister continued my great musical education. Also, thanks to my sister, I started playing bass at 16. I have been (for the most part) continuously playing in bands since. I have opened for many national and regional acts, as well as headlining shows with various bands throughout the years. In PREACHER, I want to help bring righteous, Hell-bent rock n’ roll back to the people!
I hail from the Great White North and was raised by a pack of angry grey wolves. At a young age, my family and I moved from Quebec to the CNY. I began my life in the US by playing hockey (natch) and, with my love of playing music, took up the bass. However, having come from a long line of drummers in my family, I decided to take a crack at drumming and that decided my future. I have lived and played all over the country and have finally rediscovered my home here in Central New York. PREACHER has been a rebirth of my love of hard-hitting, raucous and unhinged rock and roll.
I began playing guitar at the age of 13 when my older brother came home from college with a guitar. I listened to artists like The Allman Brothers, Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, Leslie West and Robin Trower and many others. I have played in bands covering various styles, including Chicago Blues, Pop,Top 40 and Rock along with writing original music. I have played bars, clubs and other venues from neighborhood keg parties to nightclubs and 5,000 seat arenas. When a fellow guitarist mentioned a local group was looking for a guitar player and showed me the Preacher set list (thanks Tex!) I was all in.
My billionaire parents were gunned down in a dark alley in Gotham City when I was a boy…no…wait…that was Batman. Let me try again.
I was raised a poor sharecropper’s son in a shotgun shack in Tupelo, Mississippi…nope, nope, that’s Elvis.
Anyway, if you have made it this far through our bios, you are the type of person to read the “touching and personal history” at the beginning of every recipe ever put on the internet, instead of skipping to the recipe. So, ya know, good for you…
Preacher. We’re not like the other bands…here…in the trailer park…
